Appointments to Courts of Appeal

Announcements detailing appointments to Courts of Appeal in the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey.

The following announcements are made:

Her Majesty the Queen has appointed David Doyle, Her Majesty’s First Deemster and Clerk of the Rolls, as a Judge of Appeal of the Courts of Appeal of Jersey and Guernsey. It is anticipated that His Honour will sit in the Courts of Appeal of Jersey and Guernsey for up to two weeks per year.

His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor has appointed Sir Michael Birt (the Bailiff of Jersey) and Sir Richard Collas (the Bailiff of Guernsey) to the office of Deemster thereby enabling them to sit in the Appeal Division of the High Court of Justice of the Isle of Man from time to time.
